Apocrypha is a zine lampooning the NFT and cryptocurrency gold rush of the last few years. Its bold, brightly colored typographic choices and jarring stylistic swaps between 1950s kitsch and 2000s Wired, its absurdist manifestos implore the reader to invest their money in Cryptids. In Apocrypha’s world these imaginary creatures are the source of a fierce investment market, though it’s unclear why these creatures are considered valuable, or if they’ll even provide a concrete return on investment.
